Artificial Intelligence as a legal subject

An inevitable consequences of MNT is the arrival of Artificial Intellegence. Is it possible that the Law recognises AI? What are the consequences?

An excerpt from my article:

"The categorization of legal subject might changed as -- by taking a historical approach towards the invocation of child fetus and Company as a legal subject-- it is possible to construct a developmental model in order to accept near-Artificial Intelligence (AI) supercomputer as the tomorrow’s “legal person”.

Take a look at the hypothetical case of BINA 48 (a supercomputer) vs Exabit Corp (an incorporated company). Check out the defendant's brief here.

A good compendium of online resources on AI Law can be found here.
